The big question is: “What exactly is good content?” Google constantly emphasizes “content is king,” and everyone from industry legends to newbie affiliate marketers like me agrees that there’s no alternative to quality content.
So, how do we determine what makes content good? How do I know if one article is good and another isn’t?
I’ll answer this based on my own experience. But first, let me introduce a concept from a literary figure.
One of the pioneers in modernizing the Bengali language, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, wrote an essay titled Rachanar Shilpogon (The Art of Writing). He outlined two key qualities that every good piece of writing should have:
- Clarity of language: The content should be easily understandable as soon as the reader engages with it.
- Avoid overcomplicating with difficult words: The language shouldn’t become meaningless due to the use of complex terms.
For example, using phrases like “Meen Khovanol Kuboloye” (Does anyone even know what this means? 😉) is pointless. It would be best if you used language that the average person can easily understand.
Now, let’s apply this to content creation. How do you recognize good content?
Let me clarify: A grammatically correct article isn’t necessarily good content. Tools like Grammarly can fix grammatical errors, and most writers today deliver error-free content.
Then why isn’t everyone’s content good?
The reason lies in what Bankim Babu mentioned:
The content isn’t clear, and readers often struggle to understand what the writer is trying to convey.
Good content must be simple, fluent, and easy to grasp. Readers should understand the message right away without confusion.
Even if you’re not a great writer in English (like me), if you can easily understand what the writer has delivered to you, then you’ve got a good piece of content. After that, you can show it to a professional for grammar checks and adjustments to style and tone.
And voilà! You have an outstanding article.
Now, you can review your website’s content using this method and judge whether new articles meet the same standards.
Oh, and I want to add one more thing – Hasnatuzzaman Bhai said something I believe:
“Even an average writer can deliver high-quality content with the right instructions.”
I follow this principle completely. There have been times when I spent 3-7 days just preparing instructions for a single article. It’s not an exaggeration. It’s a hard-earned lesson!
So, remember that clarity, simplicity, and proper instructions are key to identifying and creating great content.
Didn’t get the essence of the title.
অসংখ্য ধন্যবাদ ভাইয়া, আমি দারুন কিছু শিখেছি আপনার অসাধারণ লেখনি থেকে। আপনার লেখাটা সাবলিল হয়েছে।
Really great writing. Appriciate.
Really Great!
