Surprising, but true!
I started seeing sales from my Amazon Authority website within just four months, and the results were quite satisfying.
Before this, in late 2014, I had built a niche site following the guidance of successful affiliate marketer Tung Tran of Cloud Living. I spent nearly two and a half years and around $5,000 on that site but couldn’t even make $100 a month—it hovered around $60 to $90. Frustrated, I sold that site on Flippa for just $1,700 in October 2017. It was a decision made out of pure frustration!
I thought I was done with affiliate marketing for good. But with the encouragement of a kind mentor, I decided to give niche sites another shot. This time, however, I approached it with more thought and planning in January 2018.
But instead of another single-niche site, I focused on an authority site. I took my time with it—just getting the initial design and content ready took me two months. I did all the web design myself (as that’s what I do for a living). This time, I made sure to study extensively and apply all the lessons I had learned from my previous experience. By the end of March, I added Amazon affiliate codes to the site.
And in early April, I got my first sale! The journey since then has been satisfying by the grace of Allah. Here’s a screenshot of my earnings from the first month of my authority website:

After researching, I found that there’s little to no guidance on authority sites in the Bengali language. That’s what inspired me to create Authority Aid, with the goal of providing a complete guide in Bengali on how to build and grow authority sites.
