Amazon Niche Sites: Common Misconceptions

Total Comments:

Today, let’s talk about some common misconceptions regarding Amazon niche sites. I’m sharing these insights based on my personal experience, and I hope you find them useful.

Whether you agree or not is entirely up to you, but it doesn’t hurt to learn, right? So, let’s dive in!

1. Starting with Cheap Articles, Upgrading Later

Some people think they can start by posting low-quality, cheap articles on their site and improve them later once the site starts doing well. If you have this mindset, you’re living in a fool’s paradise! You’re bound to fail. When it comes to articles, there should be no compromise from the start. If you fill your site with thin content in the beginning, how can you expect anything good to come from it? It’s a complete misconception!

2. The Keyword Research Myth

There are certain myths surrounding keyword research created by so-called “legends” in the field. For example, they claim that the product price must be $50+ for it to be worth targeting. But does that mean lower-priced products don’t sell on Amazon? Think about it. A $10 product at #1 could sell 500 units a month. Isn’t that possible? Now imagine what the sales volume would be!

I’m personally working on a product priced at $3.70. With just one backlink, it’s ranking in the #0 position. Sometimes, I’m shocked by the sales volume it generates. The other products in the same article are similarly priced, with a maximum price of around $17.

Another myth is about low search volume keywords. The legends often set a minimum search volume limit and advise us, newbies, to follow that. But think about it—should nobody work on low search volume keywords? You’d be surprised by the results! I’ve had keywords with 50 monthly searches that, after hitting the #0 spot, resulted in over 100 product sales a month. Can you imagine that? What would you call this?

There’s also a common misconception that if the first page has more than three e-commerce sites ranking, the keyword isn’t worth targeting. Don’t believe it? Try working on a few such keywords experimentally. You’ll be amazed at how your perspective changes!

I had more to say, but I forgot because I got interrupted by a call. Sorry, everyone. I’ll write again when I remember. Let’s leave it here for today.

Stay tuned for more!
